DFG:You've been selected for a random survey...

I had a phone call out of the blue about 5pm last night.DFG is doing a random survey,Lo and behold an economic impact survey.I was asked:

do I fish primarily fresh or saltwater
How many days I fished last year
What counties I fished in
Whether or not I owned a boat(turns out I do-Kayak falls into boat catagory)
Whether or not I fish outside the USA
Details about my last trip including target species and next runner up(for mr this was Halibut-bass)

Anyways its quite interesting that they are gathering this information.This is no doubt MLPA related.

Has anyone else got this call?

Just tell them the only place you fish is the Salton Sea. :the_finger:

I could be wrong, but if they are doing a survey on what economic impacts the MLPA have, I think it would be beneficial to fisherman to show how much fishing we do at LaJolla, and how our fishing dollars are spent on ocean gear.
