so i went fishing yesterday in the yak and caught a few calicos...as usual when catchin calicos i was just lip grippin em with my thumb. As usual it resulted in a bit of a torn up thumb which has never before bothered me or hurt.

This morning i woke up and my thumb is fairly sore but especially when any pressure is applied to it when i go to grab something. There is a small white circle with redness around it almost like a burn that is where the pain is radiating from when pressure is applied....

anyone ever had this happen? is it possible for like a bass tooth to break off in the skin and get infecte?

well good to know thanks...never had a problem beyond just a super chewed up thumb. guess it will probably heal itself.

Might be a tooth, probably infected. Staph infection is no joke. Got it once from a rug burn rolling jui jitsu 3 days later ankle was swollen up like a football and hurt like hell to Put any pressure on it. Dr. Prescribed cephalexin, cleared up quick...... If it gets worse go see a doc, staph can kill.

Happy healing

Get some peroxide and poor it over the cuts. Keep doing it until they stop bubbling. Do this at least once a day until the infection clears up. I used to have to do it every day when I was a deckhand. Also know a captain who almost lost his arm because he let a small infection get big.
