Took my grandson out for his first kayak/fishing expedition in Dana Point Harbor ast Sunday. He did pretty good, needs more work though before he can take on the ocean. I was hoping to take him out to Shelter Island this Saturday, or Mission bay. I don't have a second kayak, yet, so I need to rent one. Any prefered locations? I would hopefully like to get him in a Hobie mirage drive type, he was struggling with fishing and controling the yak, but that is secondary.

He is just very serious lad when he is learning something new. And he REALLY wanted to go out in the ocean, he didn't want to start off with the basics but I insisted. I think Mission bay is the next destination, this Saturday I hope.
