ya they have had 5 a day for DW for out of the last 5 days all on 3/4 day boats. Water keeps warming we could see some better numbers start to show. Anyone hear anything about the location of where these DP boats are gettin them??? might jump on a 3/4 out of dana on wednesday to give it a go.
The commercial boats out of DP have no regard for kayak fishermen and would sooner see us gone. I suggest you spend your money someplace else...

well i guess ill have to see it for myself....used to fish them regularly 10-15 years ago and always had a great time and always received great service from them. Obviously that was before kayak fishing became what it is today so i guess well see.
if you dont mind me asking, what have they to make you feel that way?

I believe it, I saw what I believe to have been a big yellow boil about a 1/4 mile off Channel Islands harbor right at the break wall for about a 1/2 hour, standing there without the yak, with a surf rod in hand, and just drooling, like a guy who just missed the last train out....:( beautiful to watch though, I can't even fathom bein in on of those boils in my yak, lets
go get em:reel:

Not that it has happened to me personally, I rarely see a party boat around Dana, but one of the times they were, I saw some irons getting tossed near kayakers that the boat crew and passengers decided was too close to 'their' spot. And of course, the banter that occurs after such incidents...

It amazes me that the Captain of of boat would allow someone to do this, I've seen it done and couldn't believe it. I can't begin to imagine the fines that a boat captain would be handed let alone the damage that they could cause to another fisherman.
