I've been on the hunt for a radio...found this one. Tried to find reviews or problems online and it seems to check out...maybe a close out model??? Pricing looks GREAT...

i know you provided a review but what seems like icing on the cake to you is that the list price is $633.31 but it's "on sale" now for $111.99 (+ shipping). The amazon price is HIGHLY inflated. Just a thought.

I did see where it is a closeout model. Can't find any reported issues...

looks like a deal to me....havent been able to find anything saying otherwise and from what ive read standard horizon puts out a good product all around. Plus it has a 3 year warranty. I guess ill be the test dummy....im buyin one.

I got one too. Three year warranty, one year for the battery. I'm thinking it was an upper edge model that didn't sell well and now closed out...
That list price is Standard Horizon, not Amazon's...

what is the normal distance you can use the radio with the 6watts??? the last few times i been going out on my own and think saftey is more important then how big of the fish i would catch.. I know nothing of radios and reading about them with all the spec's i realy dont understand much about them. Why one would sale for $400 and the other for 100 for the same company and the spec's sound almost the same..
