There are no surprises, shorter equates to slightly slower hull speed and smaller and lighter will subject it to getting pushed around a bit more. I felt totally comfortable in the conditions and keeping my load minimal. Not sure I would want to put the livewell on it in open ocean. Bringing in a load of fish may put me up around the limits of weight limit.
