shakespeare kayaks?

Anybody have any experience with this brand of kayak? I was offered a angler 105 and wanted to know the pros and cons. The internet has no reviews on them

Looked it up (google). Its 10'3" long 30" wide.
with a capacity of 250 -275.
Kind of reminds me of a mini X.

Yeah I found the specs on it but any actual first hand experience with these? I can't believe I can't find one review. Its not like Shakespeare is some no name company. I didn't know they made yaks but I figure someone would have some experience with them. They look alright. A quick Google Shopping search shows these things at $680 + shipping :doh:. You should spend a pinch more and get yourself into something with a good track record a-la Malibu or Ocean Kayak, IMO. If you're trying to save some scratch, look at the Ascend FS12 at Bass Pro. Way more features included. I have paddled them and they are nice. Hope this helps.

When Shakespeare kayaks first appeared, it was due to a partnership with Emotion, a company that's much better known in the Southeast. Other than rigging and badging, the hulls are probably still identical. Reviews should be much easier to find under the original name.

Pros and cons depend on what you have in mind. Small, flat water and ease of transport and storage - yes. For La Jolla or other open water conditions - get a longer yak.
