Any recommendations on what fish finder to get and where to get it.

I want one with a gps, didn't want to spend for high end.

Suggestions appreciated.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of the first step new to the site, but I agree with the intro.

I'm new to kayak fishing my name is Rick, live in Fontana, plan on being at the coast as often as I can. I just bought a Hobie Outback and I'm in the process of getting the fishing accessories for my yak.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks:jig:

Eagle Cuda 350. Under $200, has gps, dual beam. Don't expect the best graphics in the world, but functionally its a solid unit for the price

Off the record... it's usually a good idea to use your first post to introduce yourself. Welcome to BWE though :luxhello:

Welcome thanks for joining. Asking questions is the first step to becoming a successful fisherman so ask away never fear! Introducing one's self isn't a must, but a definite plus. I remember my first post wasn't an introduction, but a fish report http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/showthread.php?t=7707. So I wouldn't worry or think we are here to give you a hard time. Have a good time playing on the forum we are all a bunch of nice guys on here unless a baby shark is posted.:biggrinjester:

I have the 350, the gps is extremely accurate and the FF works good but the split screen feature is to small. Regardless of which unit you get make sure you mount it close enough to you so that you do not have to keep reaching for it. My unit is mounted on the sail mast of my outback, its about 2inches further than I need it so its getting moved.

Post pics, maybe we can help you with fixing it without making major adjustments!?
