Paddled out of NPH this morning at about 6:30, slightly windy the incoming tide made it alittle harder to paddle out then usual but nothing too bad. There was virtually no swell outside the harbor. Bait was scattered around, macs chasing sardines. I jigged up a few small macs and pinned one down and drifted him just outside the harbor while I casted around for more bait. Didn't take long for someone to become interested and my reel started clicking. Whack, click, whack, click,.......ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzing! Fish on! Got some good jumps out of him on the first run, brought him in, woke him up and got a couple more runs where he stayed mostly below me. Got him flipped, cleaned and bleed with the help of another buddy on a yak, and called it an early day.http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee392/williamnovotny/IMAG0254.jpghere's a shot of him after he was cleaned, was a lot fatter.http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee392/williamnovotny/P24100437.jpgthresher taco. Can't wait to get a gopro so i can start filming this. I'm having a blast!:D

Fer sure. Now that my families freezers are full its catch and release on the t's (pinky swear Premo!) Till next spring. I've taged a legal hali, got my thresher, now I need to land a yt and a wsb. I'm living my dream right now. And yes the red squid attacks, but you never know just how wet your ride is till a big fish is beating the hell out of you splashing water in your lap and it doesn't drain:( thank god for waders.

We should have a recipes section of the forum. Anyone got any good shark recipes I've already grilled, taco'd and ceviche'd. Any other ideas

Thanks! Unfortunately I didn't think to just jump on my bathroom scale holding him. Plus I had him cleaned and gilled before I got back to the harbor. I'm guessing somewhere in the 70-80# based on what premo told me when he saw it.
