I read the review you guys did on the promar glowstick and it sounds like a pos. I saw this in the checkout at stater bros last night and thought some of you hoop net guys would be interested. Its for trick or treat safety. It claim to be water resistent up to a meter, 200 hours of battery life, flashlight mode, glowstick mode, and strobelight mode, plus an emergincy safety whistle at the end for when your about to become a speedbump for pb's. It was 5 bucks, thought it might be usefulhttp://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee392/williamnovotny/IMAG0264.jpg

they really seem to be bitchen saftey tools,

but I had mine crap out when they got wet, not as water resistent as I anticipated,

but the whislte alone is a great tool,

Just try not to get them saturated... Good for fishing for 6 bucks
(better for your kids out trick or treating)

Supposedly they warranty them for life but being how lazy I am when they faiiled I tossed them

Cool. You can always drop then inside of a small dry waterbottle to keep em dry as well. I was mostly impressed (or sceptical) of their 200 hour battery life claim.

If you put marine glue around the seals, they will last a Longtime.

I Picked a bunch up too, I put them in Milk jugs on blink and they glow perfectly, and they are kept out of the water. No way to lose a trap with these. I wasn't going to post since they come in only a few colors and next thing you know there will be 450 blinking milk jugs!

Everyone run to the store right now.:D

Check out Roby's post. These glowsticks but completely waterproof....brand spanking new.

Pretty much every hooping guy knows about these already. And yes it does look alike a small airport strip out there.

I have had these for a year or so. These Life+Gear glowsticks work great
for about 45 minutes and then automatically shut-off to "save the
battery". There is a twist-on version (no button) being sold at Party City
for 1.99/each, they have all colors.

Just make sure to reset them (off/on) when you pull each hoop. I called
the company about this. They are working on getting a new version that
will stay on indefinitely. 200 hr batery life in flash mode, assuming the
batteries start as New ....

btw, Promar has an improved line of lights and are refunding the old lights
or replacing them.
