Interesting day on the water for me. It was an amazing day, launched at about 9am small surf, blue skies, no wind. Got out looking for bait and wasted a lot of time looking for the infamous squirt found a lot of egg sacks instead. Got a couple fin baits and used those. The wind picked up current too. Decided to drop down a dead sardine at about 110ft just for a last ditch effort. Glad I did because this nice looking Ling decided to feast on my chovie. Got her up and in and started my pedal back. Right around the NW corned my pedal conked out and had to paddle from there. No worries amazing day none the least! For some reason they put caution tape up at the launch, no entry, not sure why. So, anyone got some good Ling Cod Recipes, let me know:)

Well done, nice video. You might get better footage if you point your camera at a more downward angle. I am forever having to remind myself of that when I miss the yak-side shots the trip before.

Nice Fish Chuck, As I mentioned in my South Bird Post Lingcome are one of the best tasting find in our local waters. I just did the basic olive oil sautee and it was fabulous. Enjoy and I am glad you got a taste of something otehr than Yellowtail. Maybe, I will have a beter chance in this year's Yellowtail Derby if you are distracted with memories of great tasting Lingcod.
Take Care Kurt

Lingalicious!!!!
Those things are so much fun to catch and they taste really good. If you ever catch a sand dab/flounder and you're in lingcod territory send it down, put reel in gear, wait and hold on.
