Ok,
I must be compensating for something small with all the big things lately. I cought this fellow off of the red buoy between Shelter Isl and the Carrier parking lot. He took a Mack + small green skirt and Watermelon dodger off of a downrigger .
Good luck over the weekend fellows. I'm off to Guantanamo Bay and will make certain to rent a Kayak there (no dogs in tow).
Cheers,
Craig

Nice job, I saw you down at the ramp the other week, I was in the inflatable with another freediver, he asked me what your downriggers were for. Now we know. Way to kill them.
Check the date ...

Do the SD Bay Wonders ever Cease?
SD Bay & Misn Bay are both great fisheries. Misn typically produces better size (for Spotted Bass).
SD Bay produces the best quantity, of any Bays probably south of Canada & Alaska.
those of us who do live here, are SPOILED to live in SD county.
SD Bay got me hooked on saltwater fishing nearly 20 yrs ago, starting from a skiff. then the addiction rolled into yaks in the 2000's.
in mid 2000's time range, i can remember many days with 75+ "fish-ons" in SD Bay.
i think all the fishing there, by so many peeps over past decades, has taken "some" toll on SD Bay.
but still can have 30-50 fish days there, when the chew is on.
