i've really been searching for a better way to stand and site cast from a kayak... this yak is kind of a cross between a stand up paddle board and a sot yak... it may do the trick...check it out... tyonthefly

I Was just in Austin for my friends wedding and my buddy got two paddle boards and my other buddy just picked up two fishing kayaks. I'm coming out in spring for an epic fishing trip.

Very neat idea!
No disrespect intended: how is this different than a "battleship" design like a Cobra FnD except that you lose the in-hull storage?

East coast and gulf fishing are different than our so cal style. I can see this board/yak being ideal for sight fishing flats or as an access to wade fishing. In back bays, mangroves, and estuaries this would work well. Mike

Well that's what I'm saying... I can stand up and cast on my FnD pretty easily... PLUS I have in-hull storage.
All I would need is a stand-up length paddle and I could easily propel my FnD like a paddleboard.
Now if you could break this thing up like those sectional paddleboards... THEN you've got something genuinely unique!
