Not a report, but a request for one. Looking to make bug-bait in a couple of days, can anybody tell me if there's lots a macks around, and if so, where-abouts? Thanks. I'll probably soak a couple to try and catch a 'tail :), too.

Right outside of Newport harbor the macs were everywhere, kept pulling them up till they broke my sabiki later as I was standing up to relieve myself I saw that I was sitting right on top of a huge school of them.

Lots of Macks on the south side of the Redondo Canyon by K marker buoy and some really big 2 pounders out in front of the harbor and breakwall on Sunday.
Good Luck

How did you do out there?

Nothing but mackerel, no fish boiling or jumping. Looked like they weren't being harassed all day. Drifted for an hour or so and pulled up my mac to find it wrapped in a liquor store bag. Not happy about that at all.

Thanks for the info, folks. I was referring to LJ, but it's all good, maybe even for someone else.
