I got mine from BPS, I think its berkley not sure it was about 50.00

I made one out of a spring loaded squeeze clamp I found at a $1.00 store. I can not say I have tried it yet, but it seems strong enough. I attached it to a coiled cell phone charger cord with a caribiner on the other end. I also made a game clip out of coat hangar, again...not tried.

I picked up one of the "econo scale" ones from charkbait. Works great for questionable sized lings and butts. Cheap too. I believe you still need to carry a landing net to be legal though.

If the fish are not too toothy I lip them with my hands, I personally have some I bought form BPS and they work great for the toothy kind, less than 40 I think I spent on them.

I don't fish for bass but when I do hook them I will just stick my thumb in their mouth and lip grip them to un-hook them, I'm interested in something that I can use for small halibut. I have a landing net but as soon as you get them in the net the loose hooks will get caught in the netting and un-hooking a 15" hali now turns into a 5minute ordeal.

Try the Promar "Promesh nets for a Very Hook Resistant Net. They work great with trebles and don't rub the slime off the Butts...they make for a very quick and easy release with less stress on the fish.
