Mexico 8/22-8/23. Sorrry the pics are out of order. Made the yellows the first day. Second day a 10 min. paddle to the kelp and in another 10 made a bucket of greenies...out to the edge and drop a bait and in another 10 min. I'm on....45 min. total and it's in....only problem it's a 5 hr. drive from LJ (7 for me). Didn't have a scale but guessing 45-50lb. The WSB are spawning and on the chew. That afternoon I dug for clams and made an incredible Corvina al Mojo de Ajo con Almejas. Going back the next new moon.

I speak for many by saying you'd get way more greif if you shaved that thing.

'Cuda, without getting too specific, could you talk about the access?
I know the area from the water, but from the land it seems bluffy. As in your fist pic (RIP).

Are you getting creative and Rambo-launching, with rappel, or do you have an arroyo you cut thru, or a flatter section of shore?

Thanks.

Beautiful fish, and well timed trip.

Hey Zed....there's a paved boat ramp right there next to a rocky shelf that knocks down the swell and I've always gotten out dry the dozen times I've launched.
