So this is a second time i used spinnerbait for bay bass, for 2 hrs of fishing, i only got 1 hit, but it was a good hit with a 16" spotted.
I think i still need more practice with this bait, but at least i caught one, proof that spinnerbaits are works!! And is fun to fish with, and fish do strike hard to spinnerbait, and usually bigger fish.
This is a 3/4oz model with 4" hammer swimbait, fish was caught between some docks next to coast guard station about 10AM at incoming tide, it feels like too big and heavy with 3/4oz fishing between docks, well, but it works..
Unibutter also added, and the fish was safely released.

I've become addicted to throwing spinnerbaits over the years. Almost all of them work. I have had the priveldge to be sponsored by Reebs Lures for years now and Mike Ryba(owner) and I have become close friends. We have designed a saltwater spinnerbait together which will be release at Fred Hall Long Beach. I became tired of my spinnerbaits bending and breaking so we design the Reebs Bolt Thrower. The field testing on this bait yielded me my second biggest Spottie at 2lb 13 oz. as well as numerous fish over 2lb. This is not going to be a super cheap bait ($12) but it a Tournament Bait made by Tournament Anglers with the best components. It is a reaction bait so throwing 15lb. test with it will still yield you the same amount of bites as 6lb test and you will have a lot less chance of losing it. Come say hi to us at the Reebs Booth.

Way to work it. One of the first baits I learned to throw from the old timers back in the Plastic Navy Days. My favorite is a 1oz Tin Roller that I throw on straight 65lb spectra. My first 3lb plus Spottie came on this bait in H.

Hey min-va, wait a few month for the bait barge to be parked in the harbor again. On a swift tide day you will lose count on how many bass you will nab throwin that setup at the barge. when I just needed to shake a skunk the guys there would let me tie off and id pull up one after another.

Good to know ;), but i can't wait for the bait barge to come back, time for some live bait fishing too.
