Thurs/fri fhs/longbeach

I have Thursday and Friday off, I want to check out the Fred hall show, but if I'm driving out to long beach I'm doing some Fishing.

Anybody want to meet up at the show or after for some fishing? I'm open to anything in the area but would love to pull in my first halibut or rockfish.

Suggestions on making that happen? Drift live bait around the breakwall and drop rockfish rig with squid on it?

Are people.getting rockfish on the inside or outside of the breakwall?

I plan on going to FHS thurs night,gotta work friday and fish cabrillo on sat am possibly outside up into pv just outside the mpa weather permitting.

I would be down for that plan but the doctor said I pulled my groin and I need to avoid lifting for a week or so :\ and I'm already pushing it considering I lift things at work non stop
