Match my reel to pole

I was given a Corvalis 300 and I dont have a rod for it. I see mixed reviews about it, Has anyone owned one. What would be an pole I should use it on what type of line. This will be used for salt water kayaking. My bass rod...thanks

The reel is no the best, however it is a good beginners reel, not saying you're a beginner. A good match for it would be a Diawa Coastal rod either the 7'6" med or the 8' med/hvy. They are really good rods for the money, run about $75-85

Thanks for the advise Im definetly a biginner kayak ocean fisher is their a better reel in kind of the same price range you woukd suggest.....
