I've been looking to buy 3m 5200 fast cure or goop for a decent price locally but none avail.

Has anyone tried PL premium? http://www.simplicityboats.com/pl_testimonials.html

Looking to glue some things inside the hull and MAYBE some minor sealing if I do decide to drill through the plastic (nothing like on the bottom side nor big like for a transducer)

Any input appreciated.

Try pricing 4200 instead. 5200 is permanant and for use below the water line and yes very expensive, considering that once you open the tube it goes bad quickly.

Im fine if I have to pay retail locally but the value of 5200 significantly dropped when shipping is a good fraction of the product itself. They don't have the 4200 either. :-/

I stand corrected. I just saw that they carry the 3m 5200. It's avail when you actually don't search "5200". Too bad there's no fast cure though.

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware there was one nearby. I'm pretty shocked at the price. 3oz for $16.99 whereas lowes has 10oz for ~$19 shipped. Am I missing something here?

I was surprised to see 5200 at my local home depot. Might want to check them out if you haven't already.

HomeDepot usually carries it in their paint section, but don't count on the employees knowing it's there. 3M does, I repeat DOES make this in a regular cure and a fast cure (24-48 hours if I recall correctly). The fast cure is a thicker consistency, where as the regular cure is a bit to watery if your using it anywhere on a non flat/level surface/finish.

Thanks for the heads up fellas. I tried checking inventory for the fast cure online but they didn't have it. I guess I'll have to find time to go in.
