What gear are you guys rockin to pull out fish out of the waters?

What lures do you favor to trick the fish? Prefered fish scent?

With kayak fishing being in my life recently, i've sold some old gear to upgrade to smaller/lighter tackle for the comfort of fighting fish on a yak.

Also thanks to the Fred Hall Show for the sweet deals!

Here are my 'Arsenals', now lets see yours!

I have been collecting stuff since I was young. Here is a small part of my gear that I keep in my apartment. This is honestly a 1/3 of my arsenal. My dad's boat in OK is loaded with a lot of my small mouth gear and other soft plastics I don't use here in CA as well as a handful of Falcon rods and Curado 200's. This is only my freshwater gear, all my saltwater gear is either in my truck or stored away in my buddy's man cave. Yes, those boxes to the side are full of unopened gear! I just can't stop my addiction, if I see and want it, I buy even if I know I will probably never use it. I hope you enjoy.

I have like 6 small crappie and trout rods hiding in the back! I also opened a couple of the boxes so that you could see what was inside. You have to love crankbaits!

No, I don't sell. Just something I do when I get bored and can find the time. Plus there all "one off" I don't have patterns.

Ok...I'll play.

I've got a few spinners.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8071.jpg

Some more beefier than others....
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8062.jpg

And I've been known to throw a fly every now and then.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8063.jpg

But my passion is offshore stuff...

A couple of my trolling reels.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8070.jpg

For soaking bait, when I'm expecting some big'uns...
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8065.jpg

Some are old school, but reliable
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8066.jpg

Old school bling...do you remember Pro Gear? I had a whole collection (and I mean COLLECTION) of them....
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8072.jpg

But lately, Avets are my go to and always reliable work horses....
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8073.jpg

But I like inshore fishing as well, particularly calico, sandies and spottied bay bass. I've got a Curado for every situation.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/FISHINGGEAR/IMGP8075.jpg

There are at least another 20 or so reels, that fill in the 'gaps'. I'm like a golfer with 50 clubs in the bag. One for a chip shot, one for the bunker, another for laying up, etc. ;) My caddie would die from exhaustion.

I have a couple of float tubes (no pics unfortunately) that I use primarily for fresh water, but they started out in salt water.

That's before these took over the salt water duties from them.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/263881_2224483900391_1496575589_2497921_4123758_n. jpg

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/bob__builder/Untitled-8.jpg

And rods, I've got a 'few'. Seekers, Shikaris, Calstar, PacBay, American Tackle, Rogue, Graphite USA, JAWs blanks and a few others I can't remember the name of, have made it into my quiver. All custom wrapped by me...because I'm peculiar like that. Even my wife and kids have their own custom wrapped stuff; I spoil them, I know.

But I also have a nice assortment of Shimano rods. I like how they handle, plus the nice warranty on the higher end stuff makes a broken tip that much easier to swallow, than a custom wrapped rod where my only recourse is to get a replacement blank and rewrap it. Not fun and has been done a few times unfortunately.

Yeah, I'm a tackle nut but that's how I roll.

My kids are going to be set for life.
