Strange Sand Bass 5/4

I caught an almost black Sand Bass today. It was charcoal grey with black bars, not the normal silver with grey bars. The front of this fish on its underside was a pinkish color. To top it all off the anal and tail fins had a blueish hue to them. It wasn't a spot/sand hybrid, I've seen those before.
Has any of you seen a melanistic sandy like this?
Oh yeah the fishing was good today.

No picture, but if you read the description of the fish again and close your eyes then use your imagination, you might remember if you have seen one like I described.:cool:
