Hello everyone-I've been working to edit and render some of the video that I took around SD County this past summer. I've posted some of the video clips as well as some photos HERE (http://www.watermanatwork.com/KayakFishing/KayakFishing.htm). I've got more video coming, including some pretty cool battles with fair sized LJ yellowtail.
Hope you like the stuff and it inspires you to go fishing.

Cool videos. Do you use a polarized lense to shoot through the surface like that? The visibility of that yellowtail below the surface is great!

Definitely great quality of vids...my raw output to from the DV is amazing, how do you render it to get it so nice online? Once online mine always ends up looking so-so

The cameras I'm using are pretty high quality, so that's the main reason the video looks good.
As far as rendering video for the internet, it's always a trade-off of low file size(to save disc space and bandwidth) and quality. One of the reasons the video has no sound is to make the file size smaller. All you hear is the bait tank pump anyway.
You can download a free media encoder from Microsoft to render the WMV files if you're interested.
I've got lots more video, but the big wave season in Hawaii is a busy time for my real job (http://www.photosupportsystems.com/), so it's putting a little crimp in my creative flow.

Hey Ronbo,

You may know my friend Anthony.

He shoots surfing.

I'm familiar with Anthony's work, the surf photographer's community is relatively small. It's one of the hardest kinds of photography there is, I don't think any other kind of photographer works as hard for a photo.
