I tried to get into this whole "West Coast" thing but have had about enough backlashes for 4 lifetimes. Switching back to east coast spinning gear, I've caught amberjack on spinning tackle so I think it will be fine for Yellowtail. And, I'm not going to catch any fish if I can't even get the lure in front of them. I'd prefer a trade for a spinning setup, preferably a Penn 706z(or similar) and a 9-10 foot heavy/fast rod.

Shimano TMC90H Jig Stick with custom tuna cord grip
9 footer
heavy/fast
rated for 25-40lb test

Newell S332-5
5 to 1 gear ratio
line cap:320 yds or 30lb mono

Everything is in excellent condition. Will sell for $250, prefer a trade
pm to come check it out, I'm in Carlsbad

So the spinning set up wa a Deep Sea Quantam with a 7 foot Lamiglas...probably not what you are looking for. It is in excellent shape though.
