Tried my hand at a gaff build for a buddy of mine. Hope he likes it.
If not I'll start taking offers:p
That looks great! Does it float?

Whats the starting bid?:you_rock:
I take it you did everything on that... Rod wraps and all? Is it hard to learn? Looks like fun.

Did everything. I've done a few rods. It not hard but I'm no way in the league with some of the guys on B.D. The best part is the rattlesnake skin. My son caught it at a jobsite he was working. I was a little nervous working with it but I'm pretty happy. Going to make my son a custom rod with the "rattler"

I thought that was a snake skin.... Makes for a cool story, too. It looks great! Keep up the good work. :luxhello:

Hah, I thought your would like it. When my kid brought me the skin I knew I had to try it. And in hind sight, I should've incorporated a lanyard on it. I don't really want to try and take the butt cap off but it might be possible.

It stirred up my mash potatoes too. Brett gets to bloody it up. I haven't even made myself one yet. Wonder if I use a hali or calico skin...mmmm.

I like it! I've been thinking of trying my hand at using snake skin on the next rod I wrap. How tough was tanning the skin? Also did cutting it to be the perfect circumference give you any problems? I'm worried about leaving a noticeable seam.

Nice work I like that trimar color. X2 on how tanning the skin went. Also how did it taste? :D

That loader has never been used. Soon I hope. The one you don't see in the picture is my Dillon XL650. That one has some rounds through it
