The middle part of the beach is a red zone(no parking). If you get there early enough, park on either end of the red zone.Theres a access road down to the beach there!!You can wheel or carry the yak down to the beach.

CL can be a tricky launch.Beach break with sneaker sets.
I wont launch there if its over 2'.We normally launch @ Leo.
Just south of the point is a safe place.Good place to have a friend though.
Got about 20-30 stairs to deal with, then drag the yak(100 yard?) to the launch zone(no rocks).Or you can pay the 12 bucks and park in the state park parking area.Thats north side of the point.Very close to the sand!!
But on bigger days the shore pound can be intimidating :O.

If you launch at Leo you can paddle north to CL(1 1/2 miles),
Fish the kelp line on the way.Or head out to Deep Hole(or depot)
about a mile or so off the beach.

Or go south and fish that area of kelp. But remember that the north end of the Dume mlpa is about a 1 1-2 miles south of Leo(think it end around Decker Cyn)?

That being said,in the 4 or so years that I've been yaking.
The one and only time I flipped was at Leo:luxhello:

Hope this helps........................

Ur other option is to go to Esco.
Only 10 steps to deal with.
Usually flatter cond with long lulls.
Mostly shore pound, cept on BIGGER days......

Pm me if more intel is needed;)
