I was going to get this mounting kit:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001I7SMJK/ref=s9_simh_gw_p60_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1SYY2W5H0C8CAEKCY816&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

that goes with this FF:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DTUTJ4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

But according to the comments, the transducer just "sits" in "grease" in the cup? so if you were to tip your kayak, it would fall out? Im confused as to how this works. Should I buy this kit but get some other adhesive?

Look in 'innovations" there are many different ways to mount your xducer
you don't need any kits...use the force of the experience in here...

I used a pvc threaded cupling, gooped to the hull, cut a pool noodle to foam fit the transducer, fill with water then screw the cap on to keep it in place. Works great.
