Damn... Well, for everyone else, here's the other fishing areas as well.... Sounds like my DP trip might have to wait.

BUILDING SATURDAY AND SUNDAY TO...6 TO 10 FEET...AND LOWERING ON
LABOR DAY TO 5 TO 8 FEET. HIGHER SURF LIKELY ON BEACHES FACING
DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE SOUTH AND SOUTH SOUTHEAST.

* TIMING...3 AM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH 6 PM PDT MONDAY EVENING.

* LOCATION...MOST ORANGE COUNTY BEACHES...HIGHEST SURF ALONG
SOUTH FACING BEACHES FROM SEAL BEACH TO CORONA DEL MAR...SALT
CREEK TO DOHENY STATE BEACH...AND SAN CLEMENTE TO SAN ONOFRE.

* TIDES...AT NEWPORT BAY ENTRANCE...
LOW TIDE...-0.2 FEET AT 347 AM PDT FRIDAY MORNING
HIGH TIDE...5.2 FEET AT 957 AM PDT FRIDAY MORNING
LOW TIDE....0.9 FEET AT 346 PM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
HIGH TIDE...5.8 FEET AT 952 PM FRIDAY NIGHT

whats a little splash back? dont let the swells discourage you guys. sunday its supposed to die down and that evening along with monday should be good.

yup..yup,should be big south surf @ 2'. gonna have to leave the wsb alone this wkend and fish the bay for 1.5#ers;)

it hurt...

when i landed.


it hurt even more...

Anyone fish Oxnard? Channel Island Harbor? Outside the harbor? its closer to me. This also may be a weekend for Redondo?

You should be good to go, if you go on sunday let me know, need to still watch the swell though, if you go to Ventura, careful around the south end coming and going....

because that's scripps, which is still sheltered by the point. its a south swell, the beaches pointing south west will get hammered, like the one off palomar st/ave, but they will get broken up by the point, go over super deep water in the canyon, disperse, try to regain momentum and cap over about 4.5ft. the launch will probably be around 3ft at times and it will be a little choppy out there. i say its doable.

all the other reports are for torry pines to salt creek and above. open beaches facing the ocean. i bet blacks will look semi normal.
