Hey anyone got pics or tips on a good bait tank setup?
I'm going to be making it homemade and I just need a little insight.
Q:
1) 3 gal or 5 gal bucket?
2) square or round?
3) I'm looking at the 360gph or a tsunami t1200,800, or 500. But I'm not sure what gal per hr I should be looking at for a bucket on a yak?
4) what case or battery holder should I look at?
5) And last if you guys have your own pics of your homemade tanks or even prefab tanks I would love to see some builds!?
Cheers:cheers1: guys and thanks,:you_rock:

I used the gamma vittles vault. You could get it from petco. Just make sure you mark it right, and take time making your holes don't do it in a hurry. I had to buy 2 cus I messed up the first one for being in a hurry!

Run a quick search, there's a few threads. I made one with an extensive amount of pictures. I'm on my iPad otherwise I'd search it for you...
6v battery and a 360 gph pump does wonders. Anything more is overkill IMO. Remember, the bigger the bucket/container, the more weight.
Go to Walmart and get a waterproof battery case in the camping section, it's 10 bucks or so.

A:
1) See if you can get a Vittles Vault (between 5 and 8 gal)
2) Doesn't matter
3) T500 is fine. Using a 6 volt you should be pumping 1/2 that
4) Any sealed tupperware holder of the right size should work

You might want to reconsider those dry cases. The hinge pins on them are low grade stainless steel. If it rides exposed they can rust and leave stains in your tank well if you have a light colored kayak. I didn't notice when it rode in the back of my red kayak, but when I used it in a sand colored yak, I noticed the stains
I do use one as a battery case for my FF tho.

Here is one I made from a 25qt cooler. Battery sits in the Tupperware container on top. The front two rod holders tip out for trolling, others are for storage. Its a pump over the side version.
