Launched at 4:30 and landed at 11:30 or 12 maybe? About a bazillion yaks out there spread all over the map, and maybe 10 boats inside. Uphill current early with a drop in water temp to around 66 degrees. Bait was tough all around. Did not have or see one hookup (other than a BSB) the entire time (unless you count the Sand Dab on my 3/0 hook). Shot 1.5 hours of bottom video for 1 BSB and a fish that looked similar to an Angel Shark. Never got outside or South.

Yeah tough fishing out there today, water definitely cooled down from last weekend. Couple of bigger sets, on the way out they ranged from ankle slappers to 3' to possibly 4', but it was manageable. fishing was very slow today like greg said, tough to make squid.

Yup, same report. I caught 4 pieces of bait, and took 4 pieces home. Not even a single Cuda or Bay ray or anything to even pull on.

Didn't see a single fish come up today.

Other than that, the weather was nice, the water was calm and hung out with some good people. Can't complain.

:cheers1:

It was really slow yesterday - exceptionally tough to find and make bait. Beautiful day nonetheless. Hot, sunny, glassy and incredibly clear water. Saw one leopard while launching and a few very thin schools of macks, dines and smelt outside. With the clarity of the water, I wish I'd brought my diving gear with me.

I spent the night out Fri. to Sat.
The party is over. Seiners wrapped the squid 2 nights prior. They came within 20 ft. of wrapping the boat.

Even with my high power lights on board I couldn't raise enough to make much more than a good plate of fried Calamari. The dogs were the worst I have seen in a while.

Handed some fresh dead off, and the remainder of the live.

Water Temp 65 deg. through the night. Santa Anna wind through the night.

At least 30 kayaks Saturday morning, randomly spread all over Lj.

Headed to the 1010.

Thats pretty cool! Went for a surf at lunchtime yesterday and on the way out in 3 feet of water I spotted a 40lb + WSB just lazily swiming about. Couldnt believe it! I was so close I tried to free hand it! Close but no dice.

Again I tried when I came in one flick of the tail and it lost me.

What do you mean when? Have you not seen the bluetooth WIFI backpack for the GoPro? The HDS has a Bluetooth add on that works great for this. No more Batrays for me, I am just gonna pull it out of their mouth.
