Launched around 6 and headed straight to the yoyo grounds.. Marked a spot on the GPS where I got snagged on some nasty rocks and my buddy sam nailed a nice gobly goop <(rockfish of some sort) and we kept goin back to that every 5-10 casts..Sam gets nailed halfway up on a 7x heavy and sticks his gaff into a fish with the thickest shoulders I might have ever seen...About 20 min later Sams fishes baby brother got hungry and ate my 6x jr. a few cranks off the bottom.. 27# and.............. 43.5#!!!!! on pac coast IGFA scale!!!

Well done gentlemen!
Nice meeting you both - Ryan and Sam.
It should also be mentioned that although they had a GPS, I think neither had a depthsounder that i could see. Relatively low tech - impressive.
Good seeing you out on water Dave.
