Alright I have read so many different ways on how to install a Transducer it is not even funny. I'd like to get some first hand feedback from everyone especially if you have a Stealth.

Popular ways I have seen are Marine Goop, Duct Seal etc..
If anyone could shed some lite on this I would greatly appreciate it!
This will be my first FF install on a Kayak.

Thanks in advance!

In my Stealth 12 I installed, in the hull, front portion just in front of the bait tank. What I did was to get some plumbers putty and rolled about a 1/4" thick strip of putty and then placed an oval shaped circle in the crevis of the hull and filled it with goop. I then taped the transducer into the pool of goop and put a little weight on it to keep it in place for 24 hours.

Works great! I think the water temp might be off a couple of degrees but otherwise no issues.

FUL - RAC,

That looks like the way to go. Seems like that would be the most accurate reading. I think for now on the pocket book I will go with either the Duct - Seal with water or something similar. Do you know if that Transducer you used will work for a Eagle Cuda 350?

Thanks

Dirti Curti,

Did you have any issues with AirBubbles? I watched the Kayak fishing supplies video and they said as long as it was a continuos layer of Marine Goop with out lifting up it would not create air bubbles.

Yeah with a cuda 350 wet mount or gooped is the way to go. I don't the 319 transducer will work with the eagle 350. When your ready to move up to a better fishfinder you probably should at least consider thru hull.

I also have a new Stealth 14 with a Humminbird 345c DI Sonar Fishfinder. The problem I am having is where and how to mount the Transducer?
If it is a Down Imaging Dual beam, Can I mount this in the inside the hull ? Thanks for the help Cheers Saba

No problems. Just set it in, tape it down and don't touch it for 24 hours.

That's one way to do it, do you have any issues with it dragging on the bottom?

Thanks

not really, i am using now a Elite-4 DSI and due to the transducer is smaller it fit better on the kayak.
