dont forget the yak! i took a trip to colorado and although the stream fishing was amazing we ran into a couple lakes, i cant recall the names of, but the trout fishing was wide open from shore throwing 1/2oz rooster tails. all in the 3lb+ range. i could only imagine hitting it with a yak!
have fun out there! I'm leaving for Florida in December for a year.

Splashed the Yak in Evergreen lake, Evergreen Colorado....about an hour west of Denver, not far from my new place....
Not one Yak on the water, all the guys I saw were fishing Jon Boats, Gamefisherman etc....The Revo with the mirage drive pulled a lot of interest...most guys here were using electric trolling motors....the mirage drive with the Revo just smoked em....
You can only have two Rods per license...fished strictly metal, trolled and casted...
12 rainbows.....
Not quite the YT, Butts or Calico I was used to off of Dana point, but still lots of fun....

There are some large lake trout, but not as big as the Great Lakes...
Troll a few deep-running Rapalas along the drop-offs in the summertime when the trout head deeper.
Keep the reports and pics coming. This site doesn't restrict itself to just the Pacific :D.
Enjoy Colorado. [ "Rocky Mountain High....."].

There are no fish in Colorado.
Sell all your stuff.
Don't even think about trying to fly fish, they won't have a clue on what that is .
Dude, you are living in God's country.
Live it up and light up them rainbows.
Post up.

Evergreen is beautiful. I was out there two years ago looking for a home in Conifer and absolutely loved that area. While I was there I walked out on the frozen lake and was talking to some ice fisherman who were slaying the fish.
That is beautiful country your living in. I'm envious :cheers1:
