This is a partial pic of the boats that we saw a few days ago. As we headed back in we could see more in the horizon heading to the squirt grounds. I think at last count we saw 20 boats already gettin-em with at least a handful more coming in.

Jorge, just a heads up
They're not done or gone...
The boats are still working that area as of this morning. (but caution, it is VERY foggy here in Pedro today)

I would hit it this weekend, but I will be about about a 120 miles south
camping in San Elijo.

Good luck!
:D

I read they were done this morning before leavin for rockfish but they sure looked to be working all over the place all morning til I left at 1. Rockfish were not chewing too good but they didn't have squid in their bellies this time. Heck, last time even with all the squid around they were all throwing up lizard fish. We even took lizard fish out I their mouths and caught more reds with them. Good times. Ps, big reds ate while squid better than strips today.

I pulled a red up that was stuffed, it had a whole squid in its mouth and some left overs in it tummy. Squid is great for bait for to much of it can have a negative affect on fishing.

Yup. Gulp accounted for about half my fish before I switched to a whole squid dropper loop and a mega bait dine for the weight on the bottom. It also caught 2 fish or so. Mixing it up but damn, it sucks losing some nice lures for a few little fillets on the slow days. A lot easier to lose hooks and sinkers.
