View Full Version : So, suppose I wanted to ship a kayak to South America...

I live in Ecuador, S. America and really have the bug to get to the ocean for fish harvesting purposes. As I've mentioned in another post, I only have an inflatable Sea Eagle right now and I'm looking to move up in the world.

Assuming I bought myself a kayak in the States, does anybody know a way to get it down here? Doesn't exactly fit in a suitcase. (Already tried that with the inflatable!)

Has anybody done this before? Btw, the kayak market is ZERO here, so no chance of just buying one locally.

The company the facilitates this forum is called OEX, I know for sure that they ship kayaks internationally. I don't know that prices though.

Check out OEX's online store by clicking the online store button at the top of this page or just type in www.kayakfishingsupplies.com

Give the guys at the shop a call and talk to them about an international order and they will fill you in on the details.

Good Luck

Other kayak companies on the web seem to like a shipper named "Forward Air"
I've seen domestic, not international rates, as low as $49 bucks.
