I like to visit the DFG in Seal Beach, . I like to see who I have working for me and make them earn the hundreds of dollars I pay them each year in fishing and hunting license and tags and stupid lobster cards... :cool:ake th[/HTML]
 Damn it, I should have gone to Squidco! I didn't read enough of the fine print on the DFG electronic license page. I thought I could print my fishing license immediately. Turns out annual licenses only come via snail mail - they get 15 days.
Otherwise the process was easy - no convenience charge.
Edit: Whew. Although the DFG didn't send me a copy of my fishing license, I was able to log into the system and print a temporary copy. Thanks to Jim Sammons for the heads up. I wonder if the lobster report card in my order mucked things up.

Paul, you do print out the temp and then get the official one in the mail. I have done this the last couple years.

Same here.....print it, carry it and wait for the real one to come in the mail. if I recall I only fished one weekend with the printed license, I received the real one in the mail within 7days.

I just submitted my Lobster Report Card info online, it was pretty easy. Use the original link that I posted above and safe yourself a trip to the post office. For those of you thinking twice about NOT submitted the information here's a little disclaimer from the DFG site.
Report card data must be submitted by January 31 following the end of the license year. Any person who fails to submit his or her report card data to the Department by January 31 may be restricted from obtaining the same report card in a subsequent license year or may be subject to an additional fee for the issuance of the same card in a subsequent license year. (CCR, T14 Section 1.74)

Submitted my card and Big Game tags through new system. Super easy takes just a few minutes so there should be no excuse not to do it.
