It sucked in a southerly direction. None of the right kind that I saw and it was cold, windy and froggy.
Small surf, but not much fun today.

There's almost no life out there, but plenty of wind and fog. La Jolla was ready to blow, but now it seems like it was a dud.

One hour before it got thick...
I thought the fog was going to hold onshore, then burn off. Far from it... It came in thick, blanketing the coastline. I had a mac over the kelp, going back and forth... then south for calico's. Made it to Marine St, then back to the point. Nada... It was way different from yesterdays morning session, which was glassy and calm. This mornings onshore (then Northernly) wind sucked. Still a lot of bait on the outside, though... Water looked clean w/ 59 temp.

Today was a definite dud! :boring:
Small bait at the pier. Lots of bait at around 100' to 135' throughout the day. Count for the day: 6 rock fish, 1 white fish, 14 macks, 1 Lingcod, 1 sand dab, all released (even all of the bait made it through the day:D).
I tried to wait out the fog, for even a couple of bites, but finally got tired of the dreary scene and bolted around 1:30.
Maybe tomorrow will bring better results.:kayak-surfer:

I like that... You're paying attention to detail. At the time (6yrs ago) it was close to four. But, I'll sell it to you for a cool mil.

I had the same problems, after I lost sight of the pier and the point, I opted for saving my energy to fish another day, bagged it after 1 hour out.
