Launched at greylight and proceeded to the pier... Slid in as Chris was leaving and made a dozen greenies and 2 mini spaniards. Headed out towards the corner. Had to be a couple dozen PBs out and just as many kayaks. Action was slow. Trolled the outer kelp bed while maping the edges on my gps/ff. Lost of surface activity which pretty much went untouched by the birds. I think it was topsmelt which I assume the birds aren't interested in for some reason. Didn't see any of the right kind landed nor did I hear. I got one bump towards the end of my outing. Tied off to a kelp stringer and let some macs temp fate in the thick of it. Wind wasn't too bad but the downhill current kept things moving. I do have one question. I saw some fast moving fish leap forward out of the water simultaneously. Too big to be mackerel and too small to be bonies. That and the bonies were nowhere to be found... What the hell were they?

I've seen 4lb. macks and 1/2 lb. bonies so that statement seems kinda odd..?? Maybe mullet..? :D no clue....

Looked something like this, but the fish seem to be a bit bigger...
