does anyone have experience with a Native Slayer? Has anyone fished it in la Jolla?

We saw the Slayer at OR last year. It is a cool boat for sure but I know there was something that made us say it really wasnt a boat that would be good for LJ but I cant remember what that was. Has to be something that made us not stock it though, Andy may remember more on it.

Native does make a good quality boat though, we are having great success with the Mariners, everybody has been super happy with the 15+ we sold since November.

I will agree with CJ on the Native Mariners. I picked up Mariner 12.5 last month and it is great.

That open bow would make me nervous during a surf launch.

Would it make a difference that the bow has a sealed hatch?

Bow hatch is optional just like Malibu used to be.

Kinda seems like it might get nose heavy if you took a wave over the bow

Makes sense. Does it buckle like the Malibu or is it hinged?
