that round hatch looks like its right behind the seat... so if we have a bait tank there's no way to get into it on the water...

No, the modifications are not for an internal bait tank. I asked Morgan if he was "game" to hear some ideas I was "tossing" around ;).

No, this is a PA. It came about after "casting" ideas about. The modifications to the PA were massive weight reduction.

hope they moved back that rudder system and the rear hatch up a bit. The old one basically just act as an access point

That rear hatch makes a great place to mount your FF battery! Since there is no other good use while on the water....
I got the idea frome the innovations thread - works like a champ!

mines a 10.5ah... it fits. still wont power my FF for 20 hours. so if they move it forward i can't change the battery on the water.

I can't get to it where it is now, the hobie bait tank sits on half of the hatch.

I went to Hobie yesterday to pick up two hatches to make a bean bag toss game.
While there I noticed that the tank well of the Outback was the perfect size for the game. I asked two men that worked in the factory if there were any scrap boats. They asked the plant manager and he brought me part of a PA hull. We cut the deck from the keel and I added the hatch and legs.
Presto! Hobie bean bag toss/casting contest platform. It should be fun.

First place in the casting contest is a rod and reel. 1 point in the well, three points in the hatch.
