I got thrown a curve ball from FishRap, apparently my article on threshers was bumped because of an oversight as another with seniority is doing a piece on T's this issue. I am doing one on live bait aspects from my Fred Hall notes(if my wife can find it and e mail me it) . Need to get it done by tomorrow.
If you have any good Quality photos of fish caught on live bait, maybe evidenced by a bare hook in the kisser. Please send em to me ASAP. Also any bait making ones, like someone with a few on a sabiki.
I really appreciate any help. I don't have access to my photos as I am in Sunset Beach.
Thanks,
Andy

Oops, forget the PM about the thresher pic then. My PC with the pics is anti-internet at the moment, but I don't think I have any bait pics like that anyway. Good luck.

Is that a Salema from southern baja? I caught one earlier this month at Punta Abreojos.

This one was the southern Carlsbad variety.
Andy, I hope you are able to get a hold of some of your old pics. I remember at least a few that were artistic, macro-type shots of the hook in the corner plate.

ICEMAN...
Every time I hear your name, it's always good. I'm am recently trying to get into kayak fishing and was hoping if you had any tips or rigs that work well from a yak. I would love to maybe get out there with you and maybe learn the ropes, but only if you'd like to. Appreciate any help you can give me!

Chaser, I will not likely be fishing La Jolla again until the WCW Kickoff in May. I just moved north and got my hands full. Look for some OC reports soon:D .
Here is something I wrote last Spring that may be helpful.

I remember reading that a while back. But now only with a bit more experience can I really begin to understand exactly what you mean. Good point about keeping one mackerel close behind you...
