I've already started to amass baits for the next Bass And Brew. There is an online website that has stupid cheap prices a couple times a year. I bought 35 bags of plastics for less than $35! I figure Spotties will bite almost anything (Gummy worms), why not bass frogs? They look like they will have good action and the chartreuse is the right color.

You gotta find some banana baits and smash that myth.

Caught the barracuda on a Tiki Monkey by Wave Fishing.
If I remember, next time out I'll bring a banana and use it like Uni Butter.

Or use the banana peel like a skirt

BANANA skirt might work on a Monkeyfaced Eel.

Why not. Spotties and sandies eat about every sort of worm, clam, crab, shrimp, and other invertebrate that lives around here. I've done well on lizard and craw fish style baits. Frogs? sure. Those things would be fun to try for calis across the top of the kelp. Go for it. Mike

Share the website too.

Those frogs work great buzzed through the top of the kelp. Fished a bunch of white colored ones at SCI and such.

Yum brand "Money Hounds" get the calicos going also. They are a little tricky to rig and require a 7/0 hook. I've had yellows chase them too but the wouldn't commit to a strike :(
