Found an absolutely perfect AVET SX with the Magic Cast system private party and picked it up for $140.00 loaded with Power Pro and a top shot of 15LB (Going to change that to 30Lb and the Braid is 50Lb).

Now to find a stick to put it on. I'm thinking something in the 15-25Lb class fast action, preferably light weight to match the reels diminutive size.

Any suggestions?

Who are you calling "little"?

You can pull on anything that you will ever encounter with that reel. Very large Wsb and at least 30# class YT with ease. That is not even all the wy on the drag.

Unless you are fishing big ass tuna you are fine with that reel.

Oh I fully expect to be able to drag anything in Southern California waters to the kayak with it. I just don't want a huge heavy crane. I prefer lighter gear.

I've got mine on a seeker stealth 8' 15 (20) 25. I think the model is STL8020. Bad ass setup. I've got mine loaded w 40# braid and 25# fluoro. Mostly use it for smaller stuff but I did bag a pair of 40# wsb on it this year. Killer rig for 'local' offshore tuna.

I saw this guy with a white terez mh/sx combo on my last charter trip and homie was killing the bluefin. None of that butter drag either killing one by one and limiting out. He didn't take long either about 15-20mins per fish. Most were in the 30lb range and a couple in the 40lb plus range. So the sx is the real deal. I was impressed.

I have a Terez Waxwing that I have my Curado 300EJ on and I was thinking something similar but with a little more back bone for this reel. I love that rod with the Curado. It's fantastic for pitching the smaller waxwing and jigs in the kelp for Calicos.
