Caught 2 of these back to back today. Never seen one before. Im assuming its a type of wrasse? Caught in a patch of eel grass drifting the Harbor.

Wow. That's one I've never seen. I'd say some kind of Wrasse too.

beautiful looking fish! catch a bunch of those put it on a sabiki send it down and use another rod to catch some bass and Sheephead that try hide in it. hahaha and if they get hooked on the sabiki its a bonus.

Thanks! The boards would be makobob's handywork. You should see them up close. Its lace wood and the graining is beautiful

Good idea! I was actually told that these make great bait for both halibut and lingcod. Does anyone have any more info on this? Ever used these as bait? Is it legal?
