Looking to purchase my first set of waders. Any tips or advise?

I'd go with breatheables (SP?). Much better freedom of movement. Plus, they are relatively cool, you can always add layers underneath for colder weather. With neoprene you start warm and can only go warmer.

Right on. Do breathables no shit keep you dry just like the other ones?

Breatheables keep you dry. In fact you'll know you have a hole when you get wet. Mine have a pinprick hole in one leg. When I wade in them for surfperch my right knee gets slightly wet. For yaking there fine.

The extra money spent on a pair with a zipper is worth it.
