Its closed. I was just there this weekend road is closed so I had to drag the kayak on the beach in a pretty tricky way.

If you have wheels just wheel it up to the wall from your car then wheel it to the water. Not nearly as easy but it could be worse

Wheel it through one of the openings in the wall by the bathrooms. Or if your yak isn't too heavy, load everything you take for the day, but don't set up. Wheel it down the walk way in front of the LJ Shores Hotel and put the yak on the wall and all your gear next to it. Get on the beach side of the wall and lift the yak onto the sand. Set up, wheel down to water, lock wheels to the pilings, time sets, paddle your ass off and fish.
I do this at the Carlsbad power plant.
Simple really :).

Launch at casa. It's not that bad if you find the break in the reef. We did it last year with lobster nets not tied Down at midnight on a 6 foot swell

I need bigger wheels for Carlsbad. It's easier to just drag than sheen it in that don't sand. That's what I get for a home made pvc rig. Haha

Things are looking good for Thursday so ill just drag the yak down. It's really not that far if you have wheels.
