Nothing Biting in Dana Point

Fished Dana Point inside and outside the harbor. Nothing biting. I had one little strike all day and a live anchovy. Talked to one kayak fisherman who said he had a small WSB he realesed. I checked yesterdays fish count for the cattle boat out of Dana wharf sport fishing. They only had 1 sandbass and 1 rockfish keepers for 31 anglers....ouch!

Dana can be rough sometimes. Keep trying though because there's some good fishing around.

I'm not sure where you got your fish count, but the latest one they have reported is very good:

5 Sculpin, 90 Rockfish, 35 Vermillion Rockfish, 15 Boccacio, 110 Sanddabs


That's one hell of a day for only 15 people! I wish I was on that boat

Weather was not too bad. little windy with some chop on the surface. same as today.
