Amplitude scope

I believe someone ran a post about the Scope on elite 7 not working after reaching 100 of water. I have not registered this unit or done software updates, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether this problem has been addressed and or fixed.? Or is end user majorly screwed ? :confused:

Your screwed:shot: Do the software up date and manually set the depth. at that the amp scope still only works to 150ft.

I got my $ back after 4 months of tec support. Then some dude from lowrance called me and said he fixed it, went out and bought another one did the fix and....

and... the more I think about it the more I want to take the damn thing out back and put it out of its misery. basically its a pos. better to go with their recommendation and un check the box that says amplitude scope!

honestly I like the hdi. for what I do works well. just wish manufactures would stand behind there chit.

And saw scope in action , I thought this is gonna be great . It seemed very responsive and very unique . then a friend informed me of problem and I took notice . What a pisser . If the update takes if up to 150 , that's borderline of what I need . Thanks or your help . Other than that issue , it seems like a pretty solid unit . I did not use the downscan to much . What are your opinions? Do you have it mounted in lowrance ready bay?

amp scope wont work in 150ft. if depth setting is on auto. you must change it manually to work. I use the 83khz and map in the ocean and use 200khz sonar and 455khz "downscan" when I fish freshwater. transducer is in the hobie bay on pa12.

I did put in manual mode . Why is it 50 ft intervals ? That is lame . Let me know how you did . Did your unit come with screen protector? For 7 big uns , you would think so ? :D . Good hunting . :jig:

It doesn't start at 50ft intervals till after 150ft.

I fished from 70-160ft today and I found that if I left the depth setting at 120ft the amp scope would work up to the max depth fished 160ft. Of coarse I was missing the lower 40ft. though. its my opinion that the software was never finished or tested. I guess I can try to contact the dude that supposedly fixed the software problem and let him know what I found. Have you called tech support about the amp scope? every time I call they tell me its the first they herd of a problem. either that or no one uses the amp scope.

I think so. first they will have you reset the unit. next is a soft restart. then reinstall the update. last send in the unit get a new one and repeat.

I will do a return , for the 6th time . This blows , I actually had good success with this meter. I finally grasped how to widen the beam , see the fish , catch the fish. :doh: .
