So me and the boys have been having a lot of fun crab'n lately. It has been pretty productive, and a hell of a lot of work, both on the water and off the water. Filming our hoop'n trips has been amazing. You learn so much of what actually goes on down there, what the bottom looks like how the crabs behave, and how it all works. Even Greg has gotten into it...surprised the hell out of me. I'm glad he was there to pull some hoops though...during the day I got pinched hard, hard enough to get a nice cut and a black and blue fingernail....those things are really powerful...
Enjoy the video.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
I thought the first one was the big guy, as the second one wasn't as large.
Then the third came along, and I was like Whoa!
Well done.

That was the one that pinched him, so they got each other.

Thats a really cool camera set up. You know there's an app on the iphone that can give you live feed from your camera, I was thinking that this would be useful for knowing when to pull your net.

I haven't been pinched yet, but I know it's just about time. Those crabs are downright vicious some times.
The video angle looks great Tony. You need to put some legs on that hoop and get a remote control.

I there a way (I'm sure there is) to do that live on 5 nets and would it be legal?

So do you think a light would scare away a lobster if we tried it at night?

Not with the gopro. The video camera would have to be hard wired in order for it to be viewed live. An aquaview hooked up to your fishfinder would be capable of viewing live video, but you would be tethered to your hoop... As far as legal I don't know why it would be illegal.

I will have to talk with my close friend that works at gopro to see what we can do about that :D
Totally awesome video BTW

How long do you leave the nets down for?
Looks like something I would like to get into.
