Anyone use this stuff?

I use it regularly since I bought my yak. Does it work? I don't know. My yak hasn't faded, but then again I keep it garage stored so who knows. It does clean and shine the yak a bit though.

What's a good general cleaner of a yak?

I would recommend a tarp if you store yak in direct sunlight. Sprays like 303 offer some uv protection n is gud for sunbrella covers n stuff but its gonna come off yak when u put it in water.

Clean off fish squid etc w SALT water n rag when out. Ez breezy. Fresh water rinse is enough for storage. I'd only clean w soap if got nasty inide yak/bilge. Lots of people don't even fresh water rinse but I do bc I rinse pedals pliers etc so not much more effort

This is what I do just wondering if people noticed a difference w/303

First question is does it come off when you hit the water...second question is the stuff toxic or harmful to the envorinment...take care of mother nature and she will nuture you a lil longer

Lots of boaters (of all kinds) use 303. Count me amongst 'em. I tend to take care of my stuff anyway, so this added step makes sense to me. When I say "added" it's because I store my $3000 Pro Angler under my deck and in a boat cover. The 303 protects it when I'm afloat.

I'm inland, so there's no salt problem, but we do have a pretty strict invasive species program here, so washing and drying a boat after every use is just about mandatory. For cleaning, I use Simple Green, much diluted. Others like 409 spray. I give it a 303 treatment at the start of the season, again midway through the summer and again before I store for the winter. Cheap insurance.

Good stuff, Hobie even includes a little bottle of it with each kayak (or used to at least not sure about now). We stock it at OEX.
